DaqPRO Sensors:

What sensors I can define with DaqPRO?

Any sensor that comply with the following restrictions:

1. The sensor's output must be either voltage in the range of 0 to 10V or current in the range of 4 to 24mA

2. The sensor Transfer Function (sensor output voltage changes vs. the sampled phenomenon changes) must be a linear Transfer Function

When connecting a sensor to the DaqPRO input it effects the reading of other sensors being sampled by the data logger

The DaqPRO has a very large isolation between its inputs. Typically the crosstalk between channels is -80dB. Additionally the DaqPRO has floating mechanism that ensures that all (-) inputs are not connected internally to a common ground. This is a very useful feature, however in cases where sensors are located in a noisy environment, it may cause ground noise and ground loops problems. This may cause an effect of one sensor on other sensor readings. The solution in this case is to connect all (-) inputs together with one external wire.
